A Cool Olympic Moment

So yesterday I was downtown for a lunch appointment, and as I walked down the street a group of Canadian athletes, in their great-looking Canadian uniforms, walked past me - and one of them was Jamie Sale (I don't know how to get the accent ague on the "e" in her last name) - winner of "Battle of the Blades!" (oh yeah, and she's won an Olympic gold medal, too!).

There's definitely an air of excitement hanging over the city now. Athletes everywhere. Tomorrow we'll watch part of the torch relay. Saturday it's a women's hockey game between Sweden and Switzerland (my husband is Swedish).
