Word on the Street Toronto
The day after the Indigo Teen Read Awards, I read at Word on the Street in Toronto. It was really fun. What a festival! It's now held in Queen's Park, which is a great venue. And it was PACKED with people. And my tent was full for my reading, which was quite a different scene from 2008, when I read at Vancouver's Word on the Street with "Word Nerd" ... perhaps more people know my work? When I read in Vancouver, there were about ten people there - and at least eight were family members and friends. Right near the end of my reading, the tent started to fill up - I was filled with pleasure - till I realized they were all there to see Susan Juby and Meg Tilly ...
:-) Seriously - both Susan Juby and Meg Tilly are awesome women.

Thanks to my relatives for sending these photos. When I was done Word on the Street my dear Mom drove me to Porter Air, where I hopped onto a plane for Ottawa ... but more on my Ottawa/Winnipeg adventures to follow!
